Why Should You Participate?
1 - Track Record Promoting Artisan Spirits
CASC is produced by the same team behind BC Distilled, the largest artisan spirits event in Canada. Focused on and reserved exclusively for local distilleries since its founding in 2014, BC Distilled places British Columbia's 30+ participating distillers on centre stage, with tastings for an appreciative consumer audience, a diverse array of unique food pairings, and media exposure opportunities. With CASC, we're taking artisan spirits national!
Contact us and we'll connect you with BC distillers so you can hear about how we've helped them first-hand.
2 - Canada's Only National Spirit Awards Program
CASC medals will be the nationally-recognized indicators of Canadian spirit quality and artistry. Your medal will be a valuable tool to attract attention from the press, your customers, community, and industry experts. It will bring national attention to your distillery, demonstrating that your products are leading the way in Canada's new and growing artisan spirits industry.
3 - Media in Every Region
We'll work to generate media coverage in every region of the country to ensure our winners get a kickstart on recognition, both during judging and once results are announced.
4 - Professional Evaluation & Feedback
CASC judges will offer tasting notes for every spirit entered. You'll receive a summary of our judge's feedback, regardless of whether you receive a medal or not.
5 - Product Recognition
Winning spirits will receive gold, silver, or bronze medals, which will include digital graphics for reproduction on your product labels, packaging and websites.
Judges will also vote for one Canadian Artisan Spirit of the Year. Regional best-in-class awards may also be awarded.*
Award winners will receive:
- Access to hi-res award graphic for use in your promotional material and packaging
- Recognition on social media
- Media coverage (earned/paid)
- The opportunity to purchase bottle stickers
6 - Industry Awareness & Credibility
The brewers do it, and it's time independent Canadian distillers did it for small-batch distilling - building awareness among consumers. An awards program drawing attention to the industry as a critical step in building its credibility.
* Dependent on sufficient # of entries from each region.
